Is a longevity clinic worth it for a CEO?
It can be, once the basics are already automatic and you will act on what the tests find. If you sleep six hours, skip strength training and eat on the run, an expensive test mostly tells you what you already know. A test is a snapshot. The result is decided by what happens on an ordinary Tuesday.
What a clinic is good at
Measurement has real value. Not guessing is the point. A good clinic can find something you would never have felt, and a number that needs correcting can only be corrected once it has been measured. Correction needs a number.
That testing belongs with a physician. Blood work, a diagnosis or a prescription is your doctor's territory, not a routine's.
Where it usually falls short
Most findings point back to the same four things: how you move, what you eat, how you sleep and how you carry stress. If those four are not yet automatic, the report becomes another list, and everybody already knows the list.
The incentive is worth seeing clearly, without assuming bad intent. A clinic is paid for the test and the protocol. It is not paid for what happens in the ninety days between visits, so that part is usually left to you. That is exactly the part that decides the result.
Four questions before you book one
- Are my four pillars already solid? If not, start there. Basics before anything fancy.
- What will I do differently depending on the result? If the answer is nothing, the test is curiosity.
- Who is accountable for the ninety days after the report?
- When is the retest, and what number has to move?
If the four are already solid, your weakest pillar is optimisation, and advanced testing can be the right next step. The rule is not basics as a ritual. It is: begin where it is actually broken.
Short answers
Is a longevity clinic the same as a fractional Chief Health Officer?
No. A clinic is built around testing a few times a year. A fractional Chief Health Officer owns the week to week work across movement, food, sleep and stress, and uses measurement to judge the plan. The two can work together.
Should I get advanced blood work before I start training?
Talk to your doctor about what is appropriate for you. For most executives, blood work belongs in a later performance phase, not at the front door, and the first gains come from the basics.
What is the best predictor of healthy aging I can work on now?
There is no single number, and nobody can promise what a body will do. Strength, daily movement, sleep, food and recovery are the inputs you control, and they are where the work starts.
Who answers these
I am Cassio Oliveira, founder of One Life. I work as a fractional Chief Health Officer: one person accountable for a founder's movement, food, sleep and stress, the way a fractional CFO is accountable for the numbers. Four pillars, always in that order. Tested, not guessed.
Fifteen minutes. A straight read.
Three sharp questions, a straight read on the pillar costing you the most, and an honest answer on fit, both directions. If it is a wrong fit I say so and point you somewhere better.

Educational, not medical advice. If you have a diagnosed condition, symptoms that worry you, or are under a doctor's care, speak to your doctor before changing how you train, eat or sleep.
